Hillary's newsletter is my new go-to resource for putting together meals that not only nourish my child, but nourish the part of me that loves cooking for its own sake. These two things are often in tension (which we talk about on In Tending a lot), but Hillary's brilliant recipes and features prove they don't always have to be!
Is there a more generous, heart-centered, joyfully disruptive space on the Internet than Lisa's newsletter for child-free folks who love children? If so, I have yet to find it. If you like In Tending, you'll love The Auntie Bulletin (and so will the other cool aunties/alloparents in your life)!
The Laundry features two brilliant mindfulness experts who happen to be married to one another, talking about what it's like to balance practice on the cushion with chasing a small child around. If you like In Tending, you'll love The Laundry!
Dacy's here to help us embrace the impermanence of our shapes, to find the middle path between depriving ourselves of clothes that fit and consuming more than we need to, and to give us permission to express and dress ourselves with joy and resourcefulness. I value her perspective highly, and I think you will too!
Genevieve practices what she preaches. She writes not only about how others change systems but about how she is bringing about changes, big and small, in her own beautiful life in Lisbon. If you like reading Initiation Writes, I think you'll also really like System Changers.
As the parent of a neurodivergent kid who relies heavily on mindfulness to get me through, I appreciate the invitation to community Kate brings, for others doing the same. If you are moving through this parenting initiation, she is a guide worth getting to know.
Clare's work is extraordinarily generous and inviting -- exactly what survivors need as they're beginning the long road back to themselves (or to a new version of themselves). She's also the curator of SurvivorStack, lifting other newsletters up as she rises. I deeply admire Clare and the way she works, and I know you will too.
